I've been noticing this banner ad recently for Dunkin' that features a woman who looks a lot like Rachael Ray. But the ad has no mention of her name. It turns out, when you click through to the promo page, it turns out to actually be her, which shouldn't be surprising since Dunkin' inked a deal with the ubiquitous Ray in March.
I was just wondering, though: Was intentionally not mentioning Ray's name in the banner ad a clever tactic to get people to click through to see if that is really Ray?
Rachel Ray is very recognizable these days. No name mention needed, especially when the commercial is about food. Now I'm starting to figure out why she's so wide in the hips, a little to much hanging out at Dunkin's.
