OK, enough with the fake products. When Crispin did an ad for a Hey Horn and other ersatz Mini products in 2005, it was a fresh idea, but these days you can't throw a dead fish without hitting some too clever-by-half push for something or other, like HBO's Big Love, which is being promoted with a fake perfume called Eau de Polygamie. The latest to try this approach is eBay, which is running ads for Windorphins, a supposed by-product of an eBay sale. I guess I'm not the only one who originally thought Windorphins referred to a Microsoft product.
