Canine-focused social networking site Dogster has stepped up to the plate on the poisoned pet food issue with a Pet Food Recall Info Center and an RSS feed. In contrast, Iams' site merely directs readers to a press release about the issue while Purina's is somewhat better and features an open letter from "The Employees of Nestle Purina Pet Care Company." Why not a letter from the CEO with a picture? Why does someone outside the pet food industry like Dogster have to take the lead on this issue?
